Key Features of Our Services
Decades of experience in advisory services have enabled the team at Caedance to help customers prepare and set out the necessary parameters for their projects.
Understanding why anything needs to be done should inform what to do and how to do it. It's amazing how successful projects are when the outcomes are set out from the beginning.
Advisory
Caedance Advisory services covers many areas of building, lifestyle and interiors.
Often customers want a new set of windows when another solution is more suitable and far more affordable. Or they want demolition work completed to remove a broken in-wall cistern that actually has a far simpler solution to achieve the same outcome. Or they want to build on when innovative stand-alone solutions are readily available without consents.
If you want to spend a lot of money wisely then talk to us about how, for a small fee, you can get an unbiased view of several paths to the same outcome.
Remediation
Caedance Remediation concentrates our expertise on helping home owners redevelop existing spaces to meet new requirements.
Turning a cold, damp bedroom into a warm, cosy space that is peaceful and calming is not hard and is easily achieved without breaking you financially.
Installing double glazed windows and doors can go a long way to making your home feel more liveable in the winter months.
Or removing dangerous asbestos to make your home safer and easier to sell is a project that does not have to be as daunting as it's often portrayed.
We have many different options available
Maintenance
Maintenance work is a necessary task that we all have to undertake constantly. To ourselves and to many of the minor and major assets we own.
A safe pair of hands is essential if you want to resolve niggly issues that make your life unnecessarily uncomfortable.
We adopt a three-point approach to maintenance.
• Routine maintenance that is scheduled on a recurring basis.
• Preventative maintenance that requires an intervention to enhance durability.
• Corrective maintenance that is an intervention to correct a failure, damage or decay.

Our Past Projects
The client needed the old kitchen removed, and replaced with IKEA base and top cabinets. Caedance Lifestyle built the bespoke door and drawer faces, spraying the final coats for a polished finish. We project managed the installation of plumbing, electrical, the manufacture of the bespoke bench top and the tiled backsplash.
The client's words to Paul was "I want to feel joy when I enter my home". This front door was battered by the Southerly. Now she has a wonderful, weather-resistant and sunny haven away from the elements as well as privacy when her front door is open during the summer.
"Paul will you please build a lovely room for my mum" - That was the brief. Convert a workshop that had become a store room and dumping ground into a warm, dry, quiet and tranquil space for a young-at-heart pensioner to spend time with her family when in town. Within four weeks, all demolition, restoration and renovation was completed including the assembly of Ikea PAX wardrobes.
While the client's wife was out of town, the Caedance team project managed the demolition and rebuild of this bathroom. Liaising with plumbers and electricians to ensure the job was done to surprise the client's wife. Clever use of kwila decking blanks as shallow shelves worked well above the dado rail.
The brief from the client was to liaise with the neighbour (owner overseas) to install a new fence, then to clear out all the debris and turn a winter mud patch into a peaceful decked living area with raised garden beds. The pergola was made and installed so that grape vines could grow and create dappled shade in summer.
One of the largest jobs we had to undertake. Hundreds of metres of picket fencing around a housing estate that had not had much love for many years. Washing down all of the pickets, sanding where necessary, metal priming rusted nails, sanding and then priming and double top coat of paint. Totally transformative.
Client wanted to transform a dated space into a well-designed and curated space to entertain and retreat. Building work, construction and assembly of built-in cupboard shelving and finish carpentry work with wall panelling. The family have a wonderful, tranquil space to escape the tv room and relax with light music.
Clients loved gardening but had no space to plant crops and vegetables. We were able to dig out extraneous trees and shrubs and then the unusable hill was transformed into raised garden beds whilst also creating a safe and sturdy handrail for the owners to safely descend during the wet months.
One of the best investments one can make when selling a house is to spend some money on cleaning up all those small DIY jobs that one never got to over the weekends. We came in and ensured that all the niggly problems were fixed and tidied ready to be presented for sale. Money well spent as an investment.
Several years after opening a restaurant, the owner wanted to reconfigure some of the booths to optimise patronage space. Carefully disassembling joinery to rebuild in an entirely new configuration takes a fair bit of tinkering and thinking - but the restauranteur got the result he needed in the end.
